President's Message

As parents, we know how valuable your time, energy, and resources are. It's easy to feel pulled in different directions, but your kids still need you. Your time at school still matters. Please consider investing in your child's school. If you need ideas, we can help.

Great schools have parents who get involved. We insist on better curriculums and do what's necessary to pay for them.  We make lifetime memories out of milestones like 6th Grade WEB day and the 8th Grade promotion ceremony.

We make a difference. We can't do any of this alone. Come make a difference with us.

Join the PTA

Volunteers are needed to continue making the EMS PTA possible.  Any amount of time you have for our school is welcome and appreciated, but volunteering isn't the only way to be involved!

PTA Membership is $10.00 annually per member.  Submission of an electronic membership form will automatically generate an electronic invoice for payment to the email address provided upon sign up.   Electronic EMS-PTA membership form

If you prefer to pay in cash or check please print and complete the PDF version of the form and send into the office along with your payment.

Your student can drop off your completed membership form and a $10 fee in the EMS front office.

EMS has earned over $17,000 from this program since we started participating in 2004!

Here's how to contribute: Download the new Box Tops(R) for Education app and scan your receipts with the eligible products (icons will still be on the labels) within 14 days of purchase! That's it! No more clipping!

If you still have physical Box Tops don't worry: You can clip Box Tops off the products you buy and place them in a baggie or envelope. Please put your child's name & grade, so we can keep track of them for contests.  Drop them in the boxes located near the front office.

PTA Mission

PTA builds bridges between homes and school, integrating the efforts of parents with those of principals and teachers.

Our mission is:

  • To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
  • To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and
  • To encourage parents and public involvement in this nation’s public school system.
STAR Tickets

In an effort to encourage positive behaviors, the district has instituted a program that allows our students to earn "tickets" for good behavior. Students can bank their STAR tickets at the Student Store at lunchtime and redeem them for prizes such as a locker pass, a jump to the front of the line for lunch, or a prize from the treasure box.

The Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Committee is always looking for new and better ways to reward students for good behavior. If you have a suggestion for an effective prize to add to the list, please pass it along!
