INCOMING 6th graders! Info on orientation day/WEB day
Posted 7/6/22

We are very excited that your child will be attending Eisenhower Middle School and we look forward to meeting your student on Orientation Day! As you may know, our school participates in the nationwide WEB Program, an organization whose primary purpose is to help sixth graders feel more comfortable as well as help them achieve success in their first year of middle school. The WEB sixth-grade orientation program is designed to both welcome and support sixth-graders by assigning them an 8th-grade WEB leader as a mentor during this first year. This WEB leader is a responsible older student who was hand-selected from a large pool of applicants and has met the qualifications of being a good role model and a positive leader in our school. Following is some information to let you know what you and your student can expect in advance of their first day of school.

  • WEB orientation day will be Tuesday, August 9th from 8 AM to 1 PM, in the main gym. WEB leaders, teachers, and staff will be at the front of the school beginning at 7:30 to welcome and show students where the main gym is;

  • A day or two before orientation your student will receive a phone call from their WEB leader personally inviting your student to orientation day and giving the details of where to be and at what time;

  • Your student is encouraged not to bring backpacks, purses or other like items as the day is quite active; .

  • Because the day is active, please make sure that your student wears comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement.

  • Our amazing Eisenhower PTA will provide a pizza lunch for all 6th graders who attend!

This is a student-only function so we encourage you to let your child attend on their own. Please feel free, however, to contact our WEB Coordinators at,, and

We look forward to meeting your student on orientation day!

Yours Truly,

WEB Coordinators
