I. Students will express themselves in the target language through speaking and writing.

III.  Students will understand the relationship between the language and its culture.

IV.  Students will develop an understanding of other cultural values and traditions.

A. This understanding is developed on a daily basis through the classroom curriculum.

V. Students will understand how languages work.

A. Grammar of the language is taught on a daily basis.

VI. Students will apply information from the language studied to other content areas.

A. A language's history, culture, geography, grammar and literature expands the students knowledge in all other content areas.

VII. Students will use the target language for personal enjoyment, enrichment and job opportunities.
