Science Fair!

The EMS science department is excited to announce that we will be having a Science Fair! It will be held  on 1/24/18. This is an optional activity and is open to all grade levels. Ms. Daniels, Mrs. Finnegan and Ms. Thomas will be holding student work sessions on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month leading up to the fair in the library from 3:15 to 4:15. These workshops will begin on 10//11 and continue on 10/25, 11/8, and 12/6. Our hope is to send some of our young scientists with outstanding projects to the regional science fair in late March for regionals (we won’t know how many slots we have until we see how many students we have for the EMS Fair) The following website has many useful tips and information looking ahead to regionals. UNM STEM If your son/daughter is interested please encourage them to begin searching for project ideas and to come to the after school meetings. One helpful site is Science Buddies.

If there are any parents that are interested in helping out in any capacity please email Tybi.finnegan@aps.edu Volunteers need to have the required APS background check:Background Check Process APS.edu
